Biochemicals, namely, secreted proteins used a trimeric therapeutic proteins. New biotechnology technique used to create and produce secreted proteins that can be used as trimeric therapeutic proteins (e.g. soluble receptors, antibodies, vaccines). The process involves gene fusion between a therapeutic polypeptide and a protein trimerazation tag from the C-propeptide domain of collagen (Trimer-Tag), which is capable of self-assembly into a covalently linked trimer.
