THE PITCHER'S POCKET IS A BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL TRAINING DEVICE DESIGNED TO ENHANCE THE PERFORMANCE OF A PITCHER BY ISOLATING, DISPLAYING AND HOLDING INDIVIDUAL PITCHES WITHIN THE STRIKE ZONE IN INDIVIDUAL POCKETS. THE DEVICE ALLOWS A PITCHER TO MONITOR EXACTLY WHERE HIS PITCHES WERE THROWN WITHIN THE STRIKE ZONE. IT ALSO ALLOWS THE PITCHER TO CLEARLY VISUALIZE EACH INDIVIDUAL AREA OF INTEREST WITHIN THE STRIKE ZONE. EACH BALL GETS TRAPPED IN ONE OF THE POCKETS, WHICH ALLOWS A PITCHER TO REVIEW HIS PITCHING PATTERN, AND TO KNOW HIS EFFICIENCY AFTER PITCHING A DESIRED QUANTITY OF BALLS. A POSSIBLE EMBODIMENT OF THIS DEVICE CONTAINS 3 ROWS WITH 3 POCKETS IN EACH ROW, FOR A TOTAL OF 9 ADJACENT AND INDIVIDUAL POCKETS.
