THE HUTCHINSON HOUSE

On-line retail store services featuring books authored by descendants of the Hutchinson family and affiliated scholars that explore the Hutchinson House, African-American history, and the cultural heritage of Edisto Island.; On-line retail store services featuring culturally inspired t-shirts, ceramic mugs, canvas tote bags, baseball caps, historical photo reprints, souvenir notebooks, and visual art items - includings original digital artwork and custom-designed prints created by members of the Hutchinson family and inspired by the architecture and historic legacy of the Hutchinson House. These goods are offered in connection with the preservation, education, and cultural mission of the Hutchinson Heritage Foundation.

Educational and entertainment services, namely, providing motivational and educational speakers; Conducting guided tours of the historic Hutchinson House and grounds on Edisto Island;; Museum services, namely, exhibiting to the public a historical site; Arranging and conducting of training workshops in the field of African American history and heritage; Providing historical information in the field of African American history, Reconstruction-era land ownership, Gullah-Geechee heritage, Sea Island cotton farming, historic vernacular architecture; presenting the genealogical and cultural legacy of the Hutchinson family and the Freedman's Home of Henry Hutchinson for museum, archival, and public history use for cultural and educational purposes; Organizing, arranging, and conducting community and cultural exhibits in the fields of African American history, Gullah-Geechee heritage, Edisto Island family history, historic preservation, and the legacy of the Hutchinson family's intergenerational community events; Education services, namely, providing live and on-line educational programs, interpretive historical programs, guided walking tours, and archival access and legacy-based presentations in the field of Sea Island agriculture, Gullah-Geechie culture, Reconstruction-era history, and the genealogical legacy of the Hutchinson family; such services include firsthand oral history and storytelling by Hutchinson family descendants reflecting lived experiences, intergenerational heritage, and the preservation of Gullah language and dialect as historically spoken on Edisto Island and at the Hutchinson House.
