The Greeting Machine is a service for events in which groups of people are gathered Prior to an event's date, we videotape a representative of the event greeting the event's guests Then, the videotaped segments are compressed into wmv files for playback from a computer Each clip is given a unique number that relates to each individual event attendee At the event, RFID tags are hidden behind the attendee's nametags Attendees at the event walk through a doorway where antennas are concealed The antennas read the RFID tag, and trigger the video clip that corresponds to the pre-recorded video Their individual greeting then shows up on the plasma screen in front of them
