I am a Family Medicine physician; I am disappointed in the direction primary healthcare is being driven and want to go against the grain of a traditional medical practice where I have to see a patient every 15 minutes to make ends meet and move toward a practice where my patients have quality time with me; In 2006, I intend to start a local medical practice where a woman receives her comprehensive annual exam including a complete physical with pap smear, breast exam, laboratory blood screening (cholesterol, urinalysis, CBC and met panel), health risk assessment and preventative counseling in a comfortable unrushed environment; This will be combined with a one-on-one workout session with an exercise specialist/personal trainer and a personal nutritional education session with a dietician; The service will include spa treatment to include a massage, facial, pedicure, manicure, and salon services; I do not offer any surgery, plastic surgery, or any type of enhancement procedures at all; This will be about health, fitness, disease risk assessment, and preventative counseling
