S.M.A.R.T. HOUSING

City of Austin housing policy and services designed to stimulate the creation of reasonably priced homes in the City of Austin, Texas, that meet the criteria of safe, mixed-income, accessible/visit able, reasonably priced, transit-oriented and Green Building standards. The policy and services offer developers incentives by way of a single point of contact to advocate through the city development process, fast track development review and fee waivers for developing housing that meet S.M.A.R.T. Housing criteria. (S.M.A.R.T. stands for safe, mixed-income, accessible, reasonably priced and transit oriented.)
