Providing personal support services for children of incarcerated parents, namely, providing services in the field of supportive services which enable children of incarcerated parents to share their feelings and express their emotions about having a parent in jail or prison and to learn positive, effective coping strategies which will assist these children in making more positive choices for themselves and thus break the cycle of intergenerational incarceration, and assistance in the form of fostering written communication between the children and their incarcerated parents to build positive relationships between child and parent
