promoting public awareness of the need for prevention, early detection and elimination of breast cancer by disseminating information to women on how to perform breast self-examinations and when they should obtain clinical examinations and mammographies; providing a support group for breast cancer patients, their friends and families, and by providing information on breast cancer and breast health and education through the distribution of materials
