Electric motors for machines having a spinning non-alternating torque field in the rotor torque area of the motor, namely, motors that have salient poled rotors where all the rotor poles are of the same magnetic polarity and which have spaces between the poles which are approximately equal to the poles' circumferential width and the source of these poles' constant polarity, which is either magnets or coils, either on the stator or rotor, is non-alternating and which sets up a combination radial-axial flux path through the stator that is never interrupted but merely moved between alternate sets of every other stator pole by alternating in-phase and out-of-phase stator coils, resulting in a spinning non-alternating torque field in the rotor torque area of the motor
