Electronic hardware and computer software integrated with on-board mobile data systems installed in police or other emergency vehicles for monitoring system power usage from the vehicle battery and automatically reducing system power usage or shutting down the system in response to predetermined parameters to prevent excessive discharge of the vehicle battery.
