Alarm or warning system for monitoring swimming pools for drowning victims comprised of a network of cameras, sonars, heat sensors and motion sensors, alarm or warning devices, a central computer monitoring unit, and computer software for processing data received from the system's various acquisition devices and for triggering the system's alarm or warning devices, and user manuals sold as a unit therewith, and alarm or warning devices, namely, audible alarms, visual alarms, computer monitors and displays, and portable alarms that are worn as watches or pagers
