Promoting public awareness of the problems faced by survivors of a victim of murder or homicide

Organizing and conducting support groups for parents and other persons who have experienced the death by murder or homicide of a son or daughter or other person, namely, providing information about the grieving process and criminal justice system to survivors and to professionals in the fields of mental health, social work, community services, law enforcement, criminal justice, education, medicine, religion, law, and funeral services; promoting public awareness of the problems faced by survivors of a victim of murder or homicide; providing consulting services to parents and others who have experienced the death by homicide of a son, daughter, or other person, in the field of establishing self-help groups for survivors
