A vehicle and personal navigation system consisting essentially of GPS units, monitors, computer hardware and software, gyroscope, and accelerometer used for positioning in navigation devices and storage units to contain map information for determining and signaling the automobile or personal location, the location of sites, and travel routes, times, traffic conditions, and other traffic and travel-related information; and vehicle navigation apparatus in the nature of onboard or portable computers for determining or signaling location
