Medical devices which use drug elution technology for releasing drugs and which use nanoscale structures for controlling the rate of drug elution, namely, through nanoscale structures applied to the medical device surface (1) by a coating or surface treatment, or (2) by a biomedical material, namely, a cream, ointment, colloid or spray containing nanomaterials.
