Computer software for use in the engineering industry, namely, a modular product that runs within a computer aided design (CAD) system to provide the ability to easily develop inspection data required by coordinate measuring machines (CMM) directly on native CAD models, whereby inspection data can be exported directly from the CAD system for use by CMM's and to compare the actual measured inspection data to nominal, as-designed data to determine the best possible match to allow parts initially inspected and found nonconforming to be either re-inspected or reworked to minimize discarding of parts
