Wayside Defect Detection Systems for Train Components such as Wheels, Axle Bearings, Brakes and Couplers. These systems do operate using cameras, microphones, vibrations sensors and noncontact thermal sensors to detect possible broken or failed parts on trains while train is running with normal speed and pass through the detection systems. Hoxbox detectors are an example of such defect detection systems that measures the temperature of the wheel bearing on trains to find failed wheel bearings
