MCA

MCA indicates the company's "Metro Connect Architecture" class of semiconductor products. Multiple chips operate together to support the functions required within a metro area network. The semiconductor devices provide solutions for a multitude of architechtures and protocols and will deliver data rates of 2.5 gigabits-per-second (Gbps) to 40.0 Gbps. The focus of the company's Metro Connect Architecture (MCA) is alleviating the bottlenecks and inefficiencies of the metro area network while enabling the convergence of voice and data traffic. The MCA provides a blend of Ethernet, SONET technologies. No single semiconductor products conveys this broad focus by itself, but multiple products used together do. We use the Metro Connect Architecture (MCA) to describe the semiconductor products as a group.
