A coating, namely, a sacrificial coating that is used to prevent etching, staining, blemishes, or damage from acidic materials such as food, cleaning chemicals or perfumes, wherein the coating is applied to marble or materials that contain porous quartzites and some Quartz or engineered stone materials that may stain or etch by chemicals or foods.
