Apparatus for simulating fires utilizing propane fireplaces in combination with fixtures found in a conventional fire, such as kitchen apparatus, chairs, storage materials or the like, sensoring equipment for determining what medium is being used to put out or control the fire and computer controls to regulate the intensity of the flames in relation to the type of extinguishing agent being used to extinguish the fire
