A wireless communication system comprised of sensors, namely, electric or electronic sensors for sensing bed conditions, room conditions and patient condition, a communication module comprised of computer hardware and software for facilitating communication of the sensed bed, room and patient conditions through a selected communication network to a data gathering module, and an information management system comprised of computer hardware and software for remotely monitoring and reporting the status of the data gathered by the data gathering module all for use on a patient bed
