Lighting apparatus, namely lighting units based on light-emitting diodes or laser diodes, with integrated circuits for controlling light-emitting diodes or laser diodes, and electric display panels for generating light with at least one wave length in the ultraviolet visible or infrared range, said units namely for interior room illumination, electric display panels for traffic indications, arrivals and departures of transportation, display panels in stadiums, traffic lights and for use in automobiles, interior illumination, headlights and head lamps, direction indicator lamps, turn signal lamps, instrument panel displays, and instrument panel lighting
