Providing association services, namely, developing promotional campaigns; campaigning for and promoting responsibility for the social and ethical conditions involved in sourcing of tea, to ensure that activities in this area should be non-competitive and apolitical, to respect the cultural and legislative differences in tea producing countries and seek to work closely with producers, to align with the nine elements of the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) base code which reflect the most important international standards with respect to labour practices, to work with tea growers, manufacturers and suppliers and other stakeholders to develop a clear factual understanding of the current tea production situation and to validate it by a credible, independent monitoring process which will form the long term basis for encouraging improvement in social conditions where applicable; publication of publicity information on tea production; campaigning, public relations, promotion all in the field of ethical trading and production of tea
