EDUCATORS FOR PARENTS

A series of books and a free e-mail newsletter written by educators and directed to parents of public school children; The books provide information and advice relating to typical school experiences, most particularly the inter-relationship between parents, their children and their schools; The books are intended to teach parents the skills to make their children successful in school and to reduce the stress on families when problems occur; The books and the newsletter cover a number of topics relating to child academic and/or behavioral issues and parent involvement in school; The newsletter is distributed through an internet-based help and informational facility staffed by educators

Provides parents of current and prospective public school children an internet-based help and informational facility promoting effective parent involvement in school; Parents who apply for this service submit their problem or issue and receive personal assistance from experienced educators; The objective of the service is to help parents find solutions to their child's academic and/or behavioral issues and to reduce the stress on families when problems occur; Parents are encouraged to collaborate effectively with the school to address issues and formulate action plans
