A metal stencil with an array of designs that, when used in conjunction with various physical vapor deposition methods plus many other additive or subtractive technologies to deposit a film or perform work upon a preexisting layer on an appropriate substrate, will provide a large amount of critical information for the characterization of such processes and assessing the performance of said films in those applications being investigated
