Promoting public awareness and understanding in the laws, policies and practices involving sex offenders, responding to informational inquiries from the field and the public, and supporting state and local jurisdictions in the effective management of sex offenders, while promoting the need for research and education in relevant areas of the law, criminal justice, treatment and business practices

Educational services, namely, training programs in the field of legal and criminal issues regarding sex offenders, and distribution of course materials in the nature of publications, training and related information regarding sex offenders, and creating and delivering training programs and educational information exchanges across the country for agencies that share responsibility for sex offender management
