"Constant Companion" is an automated personal location and reporting service. The Constant Companion product involves a bracelet that a person wears on the wrist or ankle. Electronics inside the bracelet calculate the location of the person at all times. If the wearer needs assistance, he may use the bracelet to send a message reporting his position. If the person is missing or late returning, another individual, properly authorized, may determine the missing person's location via telephone or computer, or receive automatic alerts if the person has strayed beyond a prescribed boundary. The system reports location over a wireless network. Service users interact with the system via the Internet or by calling a customer care center. Customers may also use Constant Companion for wireless data messaging.
