Self-contained server appliance designed to install in a storage area network (SAN), namely, interceptor appliance in the nature of a computer server designed to be installed in a fibre-channel-based storage area network between a server and a storage device to identify a first port of the storage device, use a first identifier of the first port of the storage device to communicate with a switch in the network and obtain a second identifier of a second port of the server from the switch, use the second identifier of the second port of the server to identify and access data that is stored in the storage device and is accessible to the server, and provide block-level data migration services with respect to the stored data; none of the foregoing being in relation to credit cards, debit cards, payment cards, automatic teller machines (ATMs), point of sale payment terminals, ATM, financial, banking, credit and payment data and services, electronic funds and currency transfer services, computer hardware and software for carrying out the aforementioned services and other related products and services

Rental of computer hardware, namely, rental of interceptor appliance and software designed to be installed in a Fibre-channel-based storage area network between a server and a storage device and further designed to identify a first port of the storage device, use a first identifier of the first port of the storage device to communicate with a switch in the network and obtain a second identifier of a second port of the server from the switch, use the second identifier of the second port of the server to identify and access data that is stored in the storage device and is accessible to the server, and provide block-level data migration services with respect to the stored data; providing temporary use of said interceptor appliance and software; none of the foregoing being in relation to credit cards, debit cards, payment cards, automatic teller machines (ATMs), point of sale payment terminals, ATM, financial, banking, credit and payment data and services, electronic funds and currency transfer services, computer hardware and software for carrying out the aforementioned services and other related products and services
