telephone call screening and automated answering service for residential and business subscribers which performs the following functions - (1) identifies the caller without requiring the subscriber to answer the telephone; (2) allows the subscriber to accept or refuse calls after learning the identity of the caller; (3) allows the caller to leave a recorded message; (4) forwards calls on a selective basis to another telephone number; (5) allows the subscriber to leave a personal or standard message for callers based on the identity of the caller, after which the caller can choose to leave a recorded message; (6) allows the subscriber to terminate an on-going telephone conversation by playing a recorded message; and (7) provides the subscriber with a list of in-coming and out-going telephone calls
