Classification Information

1; The "C-182-Magnum" is a trade name/trade mark I would like to give to unique, highly modified, high performance, high horsepower Cessna-182 (Skylane) airplane; 2; The C-182-Magnum uses a number of new and/or modified sub-components to change the basic Cessna 182 Skylane airplane into a high-performance aircraft; These modifications include but are not limited to-- a) Installation of a number of after-market sub-components currently manufactured and available to the public, that are made by other manufacturing companies, but have never been used together in a complete package; b) Installation of after-market sub-components that I (Peter R Goulding) have made engineering and design changes to, and have received Federal Aviation Administration to use, by obtaining FAA-337 "field approval" authority, c) Include additional new sub-components I have designed and have had engineered locally, that have never been manufactured before and that are not available in any after-market form until this time, but are legal to use by me obtaining additional FAA Form 337 field approvals; 3; Together, all of these modifications, pieces, and sub-components combine into one cohesive high performance system that maximizes the climb and payload carrying capability of a standard Cessna 182 Skylane; 4; Sub-components that are installed in off-the-shelf form include-- a) A high horse power engine that is currently available as after market product, b) Wing extension to increase the wing-span of the aircraft that is currently available as after market product c) A high lift wing airfoil kit ¿ that is currently available as an after-market product; 5; Sub-components that are installed that are not off-the-shelf, and have been designed by Peter R Goulding include-- d) Light weight kevlar/fiberglass/carbon-fiber in-flight doors ¿ of my own design and as approved by the FAA using Form 337, e) A light weight kevlar/fiberglass/carbon-fiber jump-step ¿ of my own design and as approved by the FAA by using a FAA From 337, f) Light weight kevlar/fiberglass/carbon-fiber wing tips, modified by Peter Goulding to fit my particular application; g) Floater-rails (fuselage handles) ¿ designed by Peter Goulding and approved by the FAA using a FAA form 337, to give skydivers a hand-hold on the external surface of an aircraft, h) A unique six (6) jumper plus pilot seat-belt system Peter Goulding designed, and received approval for from the FAA for a Cessna-182 using FAA from 337, i) A cabin floor extension system to allow jumpers 32" more legroom into the rear compartment of the fuselage; j) a parachut drogue system to allow a Cessna 182 to descend rapidly¿ and more; 6; Together, all the unique sub-components combine to change a standard Cessna 182 Skylane into a revolutionary, high-performance, high-lift, fast climbing/fast decending aircraft that is principally to be used as a skydiving jump aircraft
