Disposable adhesive sheet material, coated with HDPE plastic and affixed to a hardwood board with screws and coated on one side with a plurality of mechanical fasteners having a plurality of hooked or other shaped outwardly extending gripping members for use as "drag wipers" on tension stand apparatus of slitting machines for flat rolled steel and other sheet materials.
