Promoting the interests of veterans and their families in communities with leaders of communities, organization leaders, academic institutions, public and elected officials by means of public advocacy namely, advocacy at the federal, state, and local government levels, and through a communities-to-communities campaign to have discussions with leaders in communities across the nation to generate a movement that increases awareness and knowledge of veteran programs and services; Promoting awareness of veterans and their families to discuss challenges and issues they face in the veteran and military spaces, including communities, while providing public advocacy when requested; Writing of resumes for veterans and families; Community-based career placement and career consulting services; Promoting education about veterans and families, veteran culture, caregivers, recruiting and retaining veterans and families in the workforce by creating and/or modifying policies, procedures, and processes in hospitals, clinics, other nonprofit organizations, businesses, and other entities by means of in-person group and individual presentations, webinars, blogs, and marketing materials; Promoting awareness of veteran-to-veteran communication campaigns by means of pairing veterans with community residents who have similar areas of expertise to discuss their experiences, career interests, ways to overcome hardships, network, and improve their lives; Promoting awareness of veteran small business development campaigns by means of bringing together experts in business development, program management, process improvement, policies, procedures, and quality management to assist in putting veterans back to work by starting their own businesses
