Downloadable computer application software for mobile phones, namely, computer software for use with a wireless distance measuring apparatus affixed to a cell phone protector case and in wireless communication with the computer software in the mobile phone, the apparatus emitting a signal including a laser beam or other visible beam of light which enables a distance to be measured from the location of the mobile phone to the location where the beam hits a wall for the purpose of measuring the size of a room in a commercial or residential structure, and a distance of various locations on the exterior of the home for the purposes of outdoor decoration
